History

This website was created after Paul Senft and his wife visited the Caribbean in the fall of 2010. He originally chronicled their travel, distillery experiences, and rum reviews on the site. In 2013, he began working as a rum reviewer for Got Rum? magazine, and his work continues to appear monthly in that publication. This led him to become a freelance writer, covering spirited history, cocktails, and travel for print and online outlets. Rumjourney.com as a site has evolved and changed over the years, but at its core, the founding inspiration that "the best spirited experiences are always shared and enjoyed with others" remains the same.
